Hi There,
I run OS9.2 on a G4 it can also run OSX
but as far as I'm aware the machine has
not had the OSX software installed. When
I turn my machine on I am faced with the
smiley mac icon but surrounding it, filling
the screen is a message:-
panic(cpu 0) Unable to find driver for this
platform "PowerMac3, 5".
There then follows a bunch of numbers
it ends with panic-we are hanging here...

I think it may be trying to load OSX but as
it's not been loaded it cannot find it. The
problem is that the screen freezes at this
point and I'm not sure what to do next to
get OS9 back. Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance. Ady

That's what it sounds like.

Boot from the OS 9 CD and make sure the Startup Disk is set to the OS 9 volume.
