After installing AirPort version 4.1 and restarting, the OS won't load. It hangs at the apple logo. What can I do?

try booting into safe mode, by holding down the shift key, reset open frimware, take the keyboard off and reset the pmu, if that doesn;t work call apple www.apple.com/support to look up the how to stuff or if alesle fails out the os disc in a boot to it holding down the "c" and then archvie and instal, not persvering user settings but booting into safe mode should get you going then go into system pers and the accounts and login items and delete everthing that start up let me know if this helps, my email is b101875@aol.com

Hi is there anyway to startup an ibook G4 without it going through network initialization. Because it just speeds through it and my menu bar never loads as it is searching for an airport connection. I want to disable that so it doesn't look for airport at all during startup. But I can't even get to my menu bar since the colored rotating circle never stops. Help please. :(

Take the card out and/or clean out the cache folders inside the 'Library' folders
This should do it. Dodgy DHCP and DNS server settings can cause this problem. and more often than not do.
