G4 drops Ethernet connection

Comment:
My G4 running OS8.6 completeley drops its connection to the Ethernet network for no apparent reason. The connection is lost at different intervals. The computer may be idle or performing different tasks - sharing files, sending e-mail, printing, etc. Restarting the computer solves the problem, but sometimes not for too long. Would appreciate any info /
