Hello all, I hope you can help me.
I recently installed Mac OS 9.2.1 on my
blue/white G3 tower. It is a 400mhz with
512 megs of RAM. All was going well until
my computer went to sleep. Now when it
wakes up the machine runs VERY slowly.
It is acting as though something is
consuming a large amount of memory.
Quitting apps does not help, but
performance returns to normal after
restarting the machine. I've gone through
the machine and removed unused
extensions and control panels, virtual
memory is off (usually keep it that way
anyhow), and I've increased the disk
cache to120,000K. All of these changes
have had no effect. I'm out of ideas, any
suggestions?

Update to 9.2.2, rebuild your desktop files, and zap the PRAM with the free TechTool (check versiontracker.com for a link).
