I recently bought a g3 ibook that was having display problems. Placing a shim underneath the gpu took care of the flaky video, I now have video all the time. However there is a 1pixel wide horizontal line on the screen. I don't believe that the screen is bad because this line does change color, but they all change to the same color. Could this be a problem with the gpu, or maybe the display inverter? Any help I could get would be appreciated.
