g3 strawberry imac with no recovery disc or keyb or mouse, using what usb inputs are avail to me, trying to boot imac. getting keyb/mouse not recognized and unable to get time set before march 24 2001 off machine. What is cheapest way to revive unusual gifted imac g3 with low budget to use? would appreciate input as I want to be able to learn mac from this machine. Have win xp tower, time to include historic imac to collection.

Never heard of that before..if it's usb it should see it. it must have an ancient OS on it. Mac OS X (10.5) has a keyboard config app that comes up if you plug in a non-Apple keyboard. It will ask what key is the the right of the left shift key etc..got $5-10? You could always get a used USB Apple Keyboard.
