I have a G3 B&W running OS 9.1.x it has been running just fine for months and months now. i woke up today and tried to start it up and i hear the "bong" sound when it starts up, the screen flicks to the gray color and the little mac icon that smiles is sitting there, but nothing more happens. it will sit there with the little smile mac icon for hours and do nothing. i have tried to boot with ext off (shift key down) and have also tried to boot off an OS 8.5 CD (by holding "C" key). i dont have a OS 9 CD cause i got this computer used and the guy didnt have the CD, but that really shouldnt make much of a diff.

I have taken the HD out in the hopes it would then find the CD but nope, just sits there with the smile icon.

i dont know what to do, anyone have any ideas??
