I am new to the Apple world. What is a good FTP client (free)? Or...Is there an FTP program on the OS?

There's a command-line FTP utility built in.
I like Interarchy and Fetch, but neither is free. Most of the free ones I've used weren't very good, but searching for FTP on macupdate.com and versiontracker.com should find a lot of options.

I think FETCH is pretty good, and probably free for home use ;-)
I would give it a try, also because it's very easy to use!
