I was wondering where I could get a free FTP program for Mac to send files to my web page.
Thanks,
John

In theory, the Finder can connect to FTP servers using the Go > Connect to Server command.
In practice, it's pretty unreliable.
Transmit is my personal favorite, but it's $25.
Mac Orchard has an exhaustive list of Mac FTP clients; click my Homepage link above.

Yea, I find the finder->go->connect server pretty flakey too. However, if you can handle text based command line actions and do a little UNIX manual reading you have access to FTP at the terminal emulator level.
Make sure the file you want to upload is in your "home" directory... usually /Users/[your_login_name]
Under Applications->Utilities is an app called "terminal" start it.
Type "ftp" at the prompt
type "open ftp://ftp.[my_personal_website}.com
enter/modify username/password as appropriateif you're not in the right directory on the remote side type "cd directory_name" to get there.
type "put file_to_upload"
type "exit" to quit your ftp session.for more info I suggest typing "man ftp" at the command prompt of the terminal session.
