Hi I am having problems with FTP and ICQ as
follows:
I log in to an FTP server and all goes well, when i
do an LS command it comes up with errors and
enters passive mode. With ICQ i am unable to
recieve messages. I am using OSX on an imac
G4. The FTP Client i am using is the default FTP
client built into the Terminal app in OSX. and im
using the latest available version of ICQ for mac.
Whats happening? Also, the phone icon when i
am connected to the net which normally appears
at the top of OSX near the clock, has dissapeared.
whats happened? Thanks, Jon

Fone icon - make sure "show status in menu bar" is checked in the Network prefs pane.

FTP - is there a *problem* with passive mode? How about other FTP clients?

ICQ - any chance you're behind a firewall?
