Hello,
Today Safari froze wilst i was watching a youtube video
and i was unable to get a response from my mac and was
forced too restart. This however led to a bigger problem
and my mac has since been unable to boot up.
After i turn my Powerbook on i will be taken to the white
background with the grey apple logo and this is as far as i
can get. The loading symbol will continually rotate and the
screen will display the same imagery until i turn it off.
I am complete stumped by this and have spent a wile
trying to sort it out.
I first off all booted up onto the OS X disc and verify the
disk and the disk permissions. There was no problem with
the disk, but there were a few with the permissions that
needed repairing. This however did not change anything. I
then decided to reset the PRAM and the NVRAM, but this
did not help. I also tried a force restart several times - as
i was unable to think off anything eles i was able to do.
I am a competent mac user and have delt with several
issues over the years, but am completely stumped by this.
I have been forced to repartition my hard drive and install
a NEW fresh instal of OS X in order to speak too you guys.
I can confirm that i have had no problems booting into
this partition.
Can anyone help me fix my problem, as i have not really
got the time to reinstall OS X and configure my system for
at least 2-3 weeks due to work comitments. If anymore information is needed, please dont hesitate to
ask?Thanks in advance
Justin

safe mode? i understand your frustration, I thought of this a bit and the only time i've seen it happen is because of a major system font conflict. i doubt that's the cause because you weren't touching fonts when this happened. damn youtoob... blame them
