Freeze. New extension. Still freeze

In 9.2.2, my computer kept freezing on start-up. Found bad extension-Shared Library Manager PPC. Discarded and replaced w friends extension. Computer still freezes. Any suggestions? Thanks

Change the order in which it loads. By adding a space or a letter such as Z to the front of the name will affect the order in which it loads. It may be conflicting with other extensions. Adobe Type Manager is a good example of this and they include a ~ before the extension name as standard.
Try also removing any preferences associated with the new program. Also, rebuild the desktop. You should automatically do this anyway when installing/uninstalling programs.
Diagnostics software such as Disk First Aid and Norton Disk Doctor may be able to help fix any other file system errors.

Try renaming the extension by adding a space or a letter such as Z to the front of the name. This will change the order in which it loads and may solve any conflicts with other extensions.
Other things to try are rebuilding the desktop file and running diagnostic software such as Disk First Aid and Norton Disk Doctor. Use a boot up CD to do this as you can't really diagnose an already mounted drive.
