Free/Trial Versions of Mac OS 7.5

Comment:
Are there any free/trial versions of Mac O/S's? I saw something on another site about Apple allowing the free download of OS 7.5, but can't find it for download anywhere. If anyone has a link to any version of Mac, I'd like to try it out to do my own comparison of Mac and Windows. Thanks in advance for any help.

System 7.5.3 is available from Apple via ftp (for instance the English international version is at ftp://ftp.apple.com/Apple_Support_Area/Apple_Software_Updates/English-International/Macintosh/System/Full_Installs/System_7.5_Version_7.5.3/) and can be updated to 7.5.5. A couple of things to consider though, this is a very old (and not very stable) version of the Mac OS and only runs on older Macintosh hardware. Newer Macs (G3, G4, Imac, Ibook, etc.) uses later versions of the Mac OS Classic or even Apples latest and greatest Mac OS X, which is another beast altogether. No version of the Mac OS will run on ordinary PC hardware.
