Hi all,

I hate to admit but even a network admin gets
errors they can not fix. I have one such problem.

I recently purchased 4 new Ti Books to replace a
few old wall streets that we had laying around
here. The problem is in the fact that these 4
machines are forced off the server. This means
that any mounted volume is disconnected while
the machine is idle. I am wondering is this a
strange sleep setting that I am missing or is it
possibly a bug in this latest version of Jag ?

I have many (60) other users on 10.1 or higher.
None of them are having the same problem, Just
the new Jag only Ti books.

THANKS FOR ANY HELP OR GUIDANCE !!!
I will try and repay the favor by answering some of
the questions I see floating here in the forum.

Is the server forcing the disconnect because it can't
find the sleeping powerbooks?
I had a similar problem, if the PB goes to sleep and i
have the PB's HD mounted on another computer;
when the PB goes to sleep the other computer can't
find the PB.
I changed my energy settings so that the PB never
sleeps while connected to a power supply. This
seems to work.
I especially noticed this problem when using MSWord
and was saving to a remore disk (my networked
powerbook) and word could never find the remote
disc. Changing the settings to never sleep seems to
work here.

Hope this helps.
