Hello i just a got a 2 power macs G3 from a friend for free, Well anyways they don't boot all the way when i push the power button on it it comes on but then nothing a just a question mark blanking over what seems to be a floppy disk on thew screen I tried running the mac OS X "don't know if its full or upgrade disk" disk that s from a G4 on it by hold C button when booting but it does reboot off the cd. So what should I do stop being cheap and go buy the MAC 10.2 Disk from CompUSA and let them install the OS, or is it something real simple and I don't know what I am doing.

The cheapest solution would be to buy a OS 9 (or 9.1 etc) CD off ebay. You could boot from it, install an operating system and away you go.
