G4,OS 9.1, running Media 100 and Media cleaner Pro. The problem is everytime I try and transfer file over 5Mb from my desktop to anything, including CD, Zip or Network (using DAVE) the thing crashes, it usually starts to transfer then stops half way through. Please help, I'm losing my mind...

Temporarily remove your Preferences folder. If that fixes it, start tossing likely culprits like the Finder Prefs, AppleTalk Prefs, etc., and then put the Preferences folder back.

Might not hurt to rebuild the desktop either.

And upgrade to 9.2.2 with your Software Update control panel.
