OS: OS 9.2.2
CPU/Ram: 1 gig
Model/Manufacturer: Quicksilver
Comment:

When copying files from a jump drive to the desktop the
file names ( not the extension) changes!!!

The file name was premium_4.pdf and rust_5.pdf and
when copied to the desktop on Classic (Os9.2.2) the file
name changes to premium_3 and rust_3

This is unreal and I confirmed it 3 times with 3 sets of
eyes. We even tried to set it as read-only on the source
machine then re-copy to the jump drive (formatted in
fat32) and the file name still changed.

The files were created in OSX panther using Adobe CS2.

The Adobe version on the OS9.2 machine is Adobe 5.

ANy thoughts?

One suggested that the battery on the motherboard was
bad . Any thoughts?
