I have a number of ethernet cards, some of which don't work due to lack of drivers. Where can I get a driver for an "Ethernet LC twisted-pair card"? Preferably a free download. I have another card which has no brand on it, just "PCB made in China" How would I go about getting a driver for this?

I have had some luck by googling for the numbers on the chip on the ethernet card. ie I had some old 1/10 cards that had a chip printed with RTL8029AS. googling this told me it was a card using a Realtek chip. I went to their website and found the XP drivers there for free download. It works fine now.

Look at the chips on the circuit board and see if google can be your friend.

Thanks to DocMemory. One of the cards was made by Apple, and they do not offer drivers. For the other, I was able to determine the manufacturers of the chips, but not the card itself.

The drivers for an Apple Card should be in the O/S ?

One would think so, but these particular cards won't work.
