Error is a Finder Error.
Boot off the OS CD and replace both the Finder and System file from the System Folder on the CD. Also, trash the Finder and System Preferences from your Preference folder inside your System Folder.

Error 41 means the Mac is having some kind of trouble with the Finder. It could be caused by a problem with finder preferences or system corruption. For detailed error information, download Black & Bleu (note spelling). It is available from www.bleurose.com and is not terribly expensive. This is a great application with a wealth of novice-savvy explanations for practically every error message your Mac can dish out. They give tips for resolving the problems as well. Try trashing your finder preferences and restarting, or reinstalling your system software. Good Luck!
