Hello all,
I have PowerBook G4. I am planning to buy a new
MacBook but I would like to sell G4. How do I erase all my
info so after I sell it no one can access information I used
(passwords, emails...)
Another question is how can I transfer all my info and
favorite webpages from old to new Mac?

Thanks.

When you get your new Macbook, and are going through the initial set-up it will ask you if you would like to transfer your info from another Mac, just click yes and follow the on-screen instructions. (You will need a firewire cable to do this.)

Once you get all your info off the PowerBook and your MacBook is up and running, you can boot the PowerBook from a system CD and erase the hard drive. With the system cd inserted, boot from the cd by holding down the "c" key after hearing the start-up bong. Select english as the language and at the next screen there should be several heading across the top in the menu bar. Click on Utilities and down to Disk Utility. In DU, select your hard drive then click on erase, setting the hard drive to be zeroed. Once erased, you can quit DU and go back to the installer and install a fresh system.
