Epson Stylus 500 chooser wierdness

I've got an Epson Stylus 500 ink jet hooked up to my 9600/233 that will not remain chosen in my chooser after a reboot. It must be rechosen every time since it switches by default to my modem port. Any ideas why this happens and/or how to change the default would be much appreciated.

Yeah, I have the same printer, and had the same problem. What I did was just select the printer in the chooser, open up Page Setup in all open apps, then open the chooser, select the printer again (even if it is already selected) and immediately restart. Then do it again. It worked for me!
