HELP! I started to get an error with Microsoft Office 2001 Entourage for Mac. I use OSX and OS9.2. Now when I try to get my mail, I get this error: ERROR Could not retrieve mail from the account EXPLANATION The end of the file was reached. Error: -39 Any ideas?

Jason, I have just had the same problem and got around it by placing Entourage in the trash (DON'T empty it yet!) along with the 'Microsoft User Data' folder found in the Documents folder on my mac. It's the stuff within the 'User Data' folder that's the problem, possibly the 'database' file under the 'Main Identity' folder. I'm a bit vague as to exactly which file gets corrupted but you need to replace the elements in that folder by reinstalling Entourage. Make sure you export all your contacts etc. first! Try this anyway it worked for me. Good luck. ps/ For the record, I'm still running 9.1

just rebuild the entourage database and storage files by starting up the app with the alt key held down
