Hello,

What is the easiest and least expensive way to link two macs together (connection speed isnt an issue...).

One machine is a Performa 6400 w OS 8.5
The other, a Powerbook 5300ce w OS 7.5.3

I just want to be able to move large files from my powermac to my powerbook (since the 5300 doesnt have a CD drive). Thanks
Robert

Ethernet.

A card for the 5300 will cost you about $10-15.

Don't bother with LocalTalk; your time is more valuable than that.

An Ethernet crossover cable, or a cheap hub.
