I purchased a blank Memorex DVD-Ram disc the other day and my G4(pre-installed drive) doesn't like it. It just ejects it every time I insert it. What is up? Thanks.

What happens when you set up a DVD to burn in Toast and *then* insert the media?

I am in Toast 5.0.1 and the only option I have is "write to DVD-Ram..." under file. Correct? If I try that it says to insert the disc and then try again. But obviously I can't do that because it just ejects it.

OK, that's not the problem...next step...
Does the drive work OK with other media (i.e., another brand)?

I was thinking about that. I haven't tried yet. I guess I will give that a whirl. Other kinds of media work fine though (i.e. CD, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD).
