Comment:

disks won't mount anymore - system
freezes after about a minute or two of
trying to mount disk - I got an audio CD to
mount, but as soon as I played a track, it
played about 2 seconds of it and stopped
- system froze again. I've reinstalled the
DVD updates (9.0.4 updates) and tried
everything I can think - all the necessary
extensions appear to be there - Drive
Setup won't let me update driver (it's
greyed out in the Functions menu) - does
this sound like software issue, or do you
think it's the drive itself? Any help would
be greatly appreciated. thanks.

forgot to mention: I have a PM G4 (450
single processor, AGP graphics) and OS
9.0.4 - bought it with the DVD RAM drive
built-in in October, 1999 - no problems
before this.
