DVD Multi-Zone on Powerbook G4?

CPU/Ram: 512MB SDRAM

Just purchased my first computer - Apple G4 Powerbook.
Much to my horror it does not allow multi-zone DVD playing - can only change the zone 5 times.
How can I disable this "feature" so I can switch zones as often as I like?

Maybe if you change the DVD drive's firmware it will reset the 5 times count.

I never had to switch zones with mine so I'm not really sure what you can do about it.

Annoyin' little feature - ain't it?
Does your Powerbook G4 allow you to boot back
into an OS 9 System?

If so - follow this trail:

http://www.geocities.com/Eureka/Boardroom/
7657/mac

Select the first item beneath "Parent Directory".

After downloading - you can Trash the "Apple
DVD Player" out of the 6 items as it is out of date
with Mac OS 9.2.

Also - the fourth item beneath the Parent Directory
is worth a squiz.
