i have mac the ripper but once the video.ts folder is ripped i
cant get it to burn onto a dvd

Popcorn is what I use (can be bought stand-alone or bundled
with Toast).

If it is small enough to be burnt without compression you
can use Disk Utility to create a disk image of the folder then
burn that.

that it is not valid

better yet ...how do i compress the video.ts folder once it is
ripped

If it won't play in DVD Player (or another DVD viewing app)
then the extraction from the disc didn't work or the
encryption is still intact.

Popcorn will compress the folder if it is a valid folder.
