driver to run pc card CD reader

I have a PCMCIA CD reader and want to use it on my Mac 5300c, but my OS 8.5.1 says there is no driver to run it. Can somebody help me?

I highly doubt there's a Mac driver for it at all. I've never seen a PC Card-based CD-ROM drive that had Mac drivers.
