I have an old mac and i am on a microsoft ib computer course and I have been told there is a dos prompt emulator I can download and run on my mac so I can practice programs as if it were an ibm computer is there eny one out there who knows and if so how can I get my hands on one.

Something like...shoot, what was that called...really old DOS emulator, precursor to VirtualPC and SoftWindows... oh yeah. RealPC or SoftPC. See if you can dig those up in an abandonware archive somewhere. What, so you can pay to emulate a PC? I wish there was a open source project or something that could offer a 'free' DOS prompt emulator.

There isn't one, unfortunately, that works worth a damn. People could, of course, stop bitching about it and go help out with BOCHS, the freeware, open-source x86 emulator... p
