disable iPhoto auto-launch?

Whenever I plug a digital film card into the USB, iPhoto automatically opens. Since I'm not using it to manage my images anymore, I'd like to turn off the preference that makes it launch. I've looked in the control panel, and all over iPhoto's own menus, and can't find a setting that might affect it.

You can turn that off in ImageCapture, it's in your Application Folder.

I did that in the CD and DVDs control panel in the System Preferences (uder Hardware preferences) but maybe there are a lot of ways to do that.
In the CDs and DVDs control panel, under "When you insert a picture CD" select "Ignore" if you want it to do nothing, or get iView Media or iView Media Pro and use it instead. It is much better than iPhoto, especially for web page exporting. It's not integrated with your iDisk the way iPhoto is, but it gives you muc better control over your image catalogs. See http:// www.iview-multimedia.com.
I am not associated with iView the company, I just have been a fan of their software for many years.
