The desktop on my PowerMac G4 is acting weird. The bottom 1/3 of the desktop causes an open window to dissapear. Only parts of the window in the bottom 1/3rd of the screen can be seen. Then when I scroll up (for example when viewing a web page), the whole screen gets "streaked" with whatever is hidden behind the bottom 1/3rd of the desktop.

This happened after upgrading from 9.0.4 to 9.2.2.

What should I do? Thanks.

Please use "shift-command-3" to take a screen shot of it. Post the pic so we can know what your talking about. Cause from what you are saying it either sounds like you got some weird 3rd party extension or startup program, video driver issues, or defective video hardware.

I you take a screenshot and the artifacts arent there then it could be defective hardware, but that is NOT a 100% sure way of checking.
