I just installed 10 Mac Model G4 at the computer lab that I work. I am protecting my PC's using deepfreeze, thanks to this software that has made my job easier. IS THERE A SOFTWARE LIKE DEEPFREEZE FOR MAC COMPUTERS? Your feedback will be appreciated!

If you want to password protect it, use the Keychain built into the system.

Could you describe a bit more what Deep Freeze does?
The Keychain won't do much of anything by itself, Bob.

Well first of all for: the pickle Deep Freeze is Simple and Easy to Use: Install in Seconds. All computers are completely restored to their original software configuration by simply restarting the computer...... And i know that there is a program named Fool Proof that prevents files from being deleted but not added.http://www.smartstuff.com/fps/fpsinfo.html

You're a candidate for either Multiple Users or something like MacAdministrator.
Plenty of info on how to set up Multiple Users in Mac OS Help. MacAdministrator can be found easily enough with a Google search.

I am in the same situation. Looking for Deep Freeze for the Mac.
Deep Frees is wonderful. You load it in seconds, restart and voila completely protected. It doesn't lock down the system at all. A student can sit down at the machine and download stuff to it all day and crash the system what ever he/ she feels like. Simply restart the comptuer and it is like new. All of the files downloaded, all the settings changed will be reset or removed. Incredible.
Now If I could just get it for our 1000's of mac's we run :-(
Brad.
