I have some jpeg files that won't open. Photoshop says that the jpeg marker is corrupted and Quicktime Pictureviewer says the file is possible corrupt or damaged. Any idea how I can open the files? They have important information.

Get a copy of Graphic Converter and use the "Convert" function in the pulldown file menu. It's a great shareware program which has a long free try-out period. It usually will fix any damaged file in the conversion process, and is very easy to use.

Don't be surprised if there are some bad spots in the image, however - I've had this problem myself and while GraphicConverter can usually open them and allow me to save as something else, I often find the bottom 10% of the image is irreparably damaged.
