please forgive my ignorance. I am a
cameraman by nature.
I am using a P.Mac G4 450 with 256mgs
of RAM and drive setup ut. to create a
partition for Final Cut what is the most
effective way to do this? How much ram
can i allocate? Is the ram then only
available to said partition? Any benifits to
allocating an abundance of ram? What
are the advantages of using partitons?
Drawbacks?
Thanx so much for any help

There's only one way to partition with
Drive Setup. You just have the choises for
HFS or not.

Just determine the size partition you want
for Final Cut.

You don't allocate ram to a partition, you
decide what size you want each partition.
The size is intirely your preference.

The ram installed on the machine is
available to any and all partitions.

The main advantage of using partitions is
organization.
No disadvantages for me.
