HI, im not a Mac person myself (more of a PC windows person) but use them at work ever seince i got this job.
anyway, we got a network going on at work. about 5 or 6 computers. and on the network list (chooser) the "Admin" one has internet access.
my question is this,
is it possible for all the others to have internet access through that Admin one? and how?
if there is a guide or step by step proceedure that someone can tip me on, please do.cheers

It may be possible to share the Internet
connection from the computer that currently has it,
as long as it is an Ethernet network (you don't say,
but it could be a Localtalk network that is allowing
you to see other computers in the chooser). There is a program named IPNetRouter that will
allow you to share the Internet connection over a
network. It works well, but is more designed to be
running on a server machine, not a production
one. If the machine running IPNetRouter ever
went down, there goes your Internet connection
for the whole network. It's not cheap either at
around $90. There are other software solutions,
but with the same pitfalls.A much better solution is to purchase a hardware
router, which will allow you to share your Internet
connection. You can find these as cheap if not
cheaper than IPNetRouter anyway. There are
many brands available including Asante, D-Link,
Linksys and others. Many Mac people have had
problems with the Linksys' though, so you might
want to stay away from them.James
