I got broadband cable a couple of weeks ago, and since I've had it most of the photos that I e-mail to people, or upload to the internet are being corrupted somewhere along the line? Is this due to a problem with broadband, or could it be a virus. Any ideas????

Compress the files before sending. This should eliminate any problems during transmission.

hi, i have broadband cable for about a year, and have sent tons of images. never had that problem....i would suggest checking the browser prefs for anything that looks strange. but i wonder if directory damage would do that? i use DiskWarrior on system 9.1, and it finds and fixes problems that others can't. also, seems like if i send a pic without a 'filetag' (ie .jpg) it comes across as 'unknown format' to PC users.

Thanks. It's happening with jpegs, and gifs (so they should be compressed?) and I always put the file tag on the end of a file name. I'm stumped, I'll try this Disc Warrior, thanks. Will Norton utilities help me?

99% sure it's not a problem at your end. Windoze machines tend to randomly eat attachments on occasion.
Grab something that Windoze won't choke on, like a ZIP compression programme, and try zipping the photos before sending. Make sure your e-mail client isn't trying to compress the attachments *again* when they're sent, though I've never had any problems with this.

I think that it may be something to do with hotmail, but it also happens when I try to upload to the internet- which is a massif pain in the behind. I haven't had any probs when using outlook express (yet). I tried stuffing them, but it didn't seem to make any difference. agggghhhh, Thanks.
