Basically adding an extention works in most of the cases. All Mac MS Office documents and most Mac picture formats can be opened on PC like this.

Add following extentions:
word -> .doc
excel -> .xls
powerpoint -> .ppt
watch out with macro's... those can give problems.

You can also use a real cool piece of soft by Dataviz to convert files: MacLinkPlus if you work on the Mac platform, WinLink if you work on Win95/98/NT.
You can use the program in both directions (mac -> pc & pc -> mac) and it supports a whole bunch of filetypes.

I have never worked with mac drive 98, so I can't help you with that.

Sending from a MAC to a PC using Word: You might try this:

Open your document in Word

Select "Save As..." under the File menu

Select "Rich Text Format" in the area labeled "Save As Type

Clock on "Save"

You now have a document which may be read by everyone. Please let me know if this works for you. Thanks.

I found this software on the net. I can put mac emails and stuff into the expander and I can read it on my PC and to send to mac friends I put it in the drop zip 5.0 in pc format and they get it in mac format.
Aladdin Drop Zip 5.0 is only temporary 30 day shareware. The expander is forever. Hope this helps.
