Will anyone please tell me how to do this:
I have an external hard drive formatted for Mac with .mov files on it. How do I convert or transfer the .mov files to another external hard drive formatted for PC? First of all, how do I format the 2nd external hard drive for PC? I have a PC with Vista on it. Thanks!

1. a .mov file is a .mov file, it does not matter what system it is on, so long as there the quicktime application to play the file.

2. What I think you are asking is how do you format your external HD so you can view it on both the mac and PC. The answer is to format the HD in FAT32 on the PC first, then you can use it to store files from both the Mac and the PC. PC's can not read HFS, or whatever filesystem apple now uses.

If it's an external HD it may already be in FAT32. Possibly
don't need to do a thing to it.
