Convert files from IIe to PC

Trying to get old 5 1/4 floppy data off Apple IIe disks and put it into 333 PII PC. Thought we'd try installing modem and emailing data to ISP, then retrieving it from there with a PC or Mac. Then convert further if necessary. But we need a old Apple IIe modem and communications software to make it happen. Any help/suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.
