My 12" PB is having problems remembering my
homepage. I always set it in both the Safari and
Internet Preferences to my website of choice, but
whenever I restart Safari or restart my computer, it
always ends back up at livepage.apple.com. I've had
this problem for a while now. It is independent of
what version of OS 10.2 I have ... and, I am updated
to the newest version of everything.

Is there something ridiculously simple that I'm
missing to fix the problem?

Use one of the various Jaguar cache cleaning apps to clean out the caches and then re-set the home page to what you want it to be. I had the same problem with default browser settings a while back and that's what I had to do.
