connecting Mac scanner to PC

I have a Primax DataPen scanner that is for use on Macs, connecting to the 8 pin mini DIN printer port. I want to use it on a PC, connecting to the DB25 parallel port. I need to make a cable or adapter (I could not find one already made). Does anyone readily know the pin assignments on the Mac MD8 printer port and/or the PC DB25 parallel printer port? By the way, I have the software to operate the Primax DataPen connected to LPT1 on a PC running Windows, so I think that I only have to move the relevant input/output signals from the DIN 8 serial connector over to the DB25 parallel connector.

your problem is this: Mac printerport is serial and pc is parallel. You have to get a serial/parallel adapter. This plus a modem cable should work (theoretically) you have to pay attention wether itīs a z,y,x or a Nullmodem cable, you need Nullmodem cable.
