Comp wont load Mac os x 10 cd

Hey

I finnaly got my Mac OS X Software CD i put it in and what do i get?! i get a loading error. I do everything corectly and hold down "c" but it still doesnt work.

Can any body help me out.

Need to know the model of mac..otherwise can't help at all
