OS: OS X
CPU/Ram: 2ghz dual core power PC G
Model/Manufacturer: Power PC G5
Comment:
I have read through the forum and have found a straight answer, but I am asking to see if there is another answer which is not as drastic.

I purchased the new G5 for my mother last month, not thinking i put all the information in my name. she has setup her computer and wants to change the owners name to her's (it shows up as mine in emails and other places on the computer). The thread I read suggests to reformat the computer and install from scratch!!! If there is another method which does not require such a drastic solution?

it depends on which version of X you have. with 10.4
changing the home folder (ie creating a new one) has been
greatly resolved.

Still, it's a messy one.
