Comment:

I bought a used Powerbook on Ebay and would like to change the "owner" of the computer to me. (I have made myself the administrator but this does not change the computer's name). Lots of software already installed that I want to keep. Any suggestions?

You have to boot from the OS CD and reformat the drive and reinstall the OS to do this.
