My sis-in-law has downloaded a couple of tunes and would like to burn them onto a cd. She has an imac from 2001. I don't know much about imacs. But can't she use itunes to burn therse few tunes. She obviously has blank cd-r disks.
she says when she goes into itunes to burn her few songs that it tries to charge her $.99/track. Is this true? Is there a different burner other than itunes that came with the imac? She downloaded the tunes from Limewire.
Please let me know what she needs to do to take a few tunes from limewire and burn them onto a cd-r?
Thanks
Bonzo

check and see if she has roxio toast - burning software. if she doesn't have it, i would definatly advise her to purchase it if she wants to burn data as well as music in the future. she shouldn't have to pay .99 to burn music onto a cd - i download from limewire all the time, but have never used itunes for burning. hope this helps you - good luck

Perhaps she downloaded an AAC file that someone
bought from the iTunes store, but her computer is
not authorized to play it. You can copy those but not
play them.If it is an MP3 of other sound file with no copy
protection then she should be able to burn a CD
from iTunes by making a playlist, adding songs to
the playlist, then selecting the playlist and clicking
on the "burn" symbol at the top right corner of the
iTunes window. She also needs an iTunes compatible burner, I'm sure
if it is an internal Apple-supplied drive it is
compatible, but if it is external you might check here
to see if it is compatible:

hi, i have gotten songs from limewire, bcoz my couzin wants a mix from me for christmas. I cant find a way to burn the songs onto a cd though. I already have a cd burner and everything. What do i do?

In itunes create a new playlist drag the songs you want to burn into the new playlist click on the burn disk icon and wait for it to burn
