Can't Wipeinfo files from trash

I need to Norton WipeInfo deleted files from my mac clone trash. I get the following messages:
Disk locked or some files being used.
I have tried on Norton 3.5, 4 and Systemworks 7.
How can I unlock the disk/harddrive or how can I overcome this prob and COMPLETELY erase these files from my computer?
