Can't start

I have a problem, when i turn on my power mac g4 cube the screen flash about 3 times and then an icon folder in the center of the screen switch from de mac face to the "?" sign, and thats all, it won't do anithing.
please need some help. sorry bout my english hehe

You need to boot from your system disk....put the system CD in and boot while holding down the 'c' key...you will then be able to repair/reinstal from there. Hope this helps.

Yes, but if I don't have the restore cd's what can I do? or how can I format the HD if the system can't start??
