Can't run .dmg - why?

I have downloaded a program that ends with .dmg, but I just can't seem to get it running?!? What am I doing wrong? How are you supposed to do with that kind of program files? Please help...Martin/Denmark

.dmg files are Disk Image files, and open with the Disk Copy or Disk Utility application. Look in the Utilities folder (Inside the Applications folder on your hard disk) and use it to mount the .dmg.
You should use Disk Copy if you are running Mac OS 10.2 or earlier; the Disk Utility program absorbed Disk Copy's functions in OS X 10.3.
If you are missing Disk Copy (10.2) or Disk Utility (10.3) you will need to reinstall that program from your system software CD.

Summary: 8.5 has nothing to do with your inability to boot 7.5 - the 5400 can't run anything lower than 7.5.3 with a specific Enabler, IIRC. You need to get 7.6 or higher to have a true universal installer CD...
Summary: morpheus is a pc only file, you need windows 95/98 or nt to run it, since you can't run exe files on a mac unless you have virtual pc, and there is no mac version of morpheus yet. ...
