Can't print in OS 10.1.5 or classi

CPU/Ram: G4 Cube/256

Ever since i bought a Lexmark X83
haven't been able to print in OS 10.1.5
classic environment. (9.2.2)

P: if you are reading this, please help
me. i know you are the mac-guru, and
probably have come across this problem
before..

G4 - cube 256MB ram
X83 printer
OS 10.1.5 - Classic 9.2.2

Try the driver on this page;

Turn Classic off before using. I don't think
this printer will work when Classic is
running.

Same printer. Same problem. The
updated driver does help -- the printer
can't communicate with the computer
only some of the time now, instead of all
of the time. But here's a bandaid that
works for me in a pinch:
Unplug and replug in the USB cable from
the printer. Unplug and replug in the
printer power cord. Then log out and log
back in to your Mac (or restart). Then try to
print again. It works for me about 95% of
the time. Until a better soln comes
along...
