Can't mount JAZ CARTRIDGE

I have bought the external Jaz 1 GB cartridge drive for my Starmax 3000/9.1 OS but I can't mount the cartridge on desktop. I tried to do it with IomegaWare, FWB Mounter, Silverlining Pro.... I tried to format it with Apple DriveSetup, Norton.... These utilities detect the Jaz Drive, but not the cartridge. Does somebody know solution please?

You have a cart that DOES work, right? I mean, aside from the one that does NOT work, you have another one that works when you put it in, right? If so then the cart is bad, toss it. If not than the drive may be bad. They are notorious for that. Try another cart that you KNOW works.

My SCSI cart is perfectly working when I plug in it the SyQuest drive. I have problems only with the Jaz drive and its cartridges. I think that the drive is knackered because I can't hear the cartridge disk turning.
